After may hours of cooking, secondary cuts of pork and beef, such as short rib or brisket, these beauties are transformed into tender meat sensations that fall apart right before your eyes.

The art of American Barbecue is seeing some pretty delicious results here in Singapore, but it takes a "Pit Master" to make it all happen.

Here’s where to head for your pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, sticky ribs and so.... much more.

Decker Barbecue

Decker Barbecue is based on the simple premises of honest cooking and authenticity. Focus is quality meats, the time-honoured tradition of low and slow smoking, honest pricing, and Southern hospitality. Although the meat is simply prepared and seasoned with salt and pepper, the magic happens in the custom-built smoker.

The brisket and ribs are left to cook for over 14 hours each and every day. Order the beef brisket and delicious pulled pork. On weekends, Decker offers a massive 700g beef rib which just falls of the bone - a great crowd pleasure. There are plenty of sides to accompany your choice including jalapeno cheddar cornbread and their classic potato salad.

Think big Southern Pride American smokers, think Blacksmith, think meat...that's what to expect at Meat Smith. This is an 85-seated casual diner (54 seats inside and 31 seats outside), with bench seating and communal tables.  Instead of sticking to one particular type of barbecue, Meat Smith explores styles from other American cities such as Kansas City and North and South Carolina.

The restaurant has a fun atmosphere so you can eat, drink and unwind listening to rockabilly; smoke house blues and California rock. A proud sister to Burnt Ends which is famous for its Australian BBQ, Meat Smith is quite the opposite, offering a full-on smoky affair. You will delight in house-made sausages, delicious pork ribs and sucking pig that is smoked over hickory wood. contact and location details Address: 167-169 Telok Ayer 068620

Decker is the best. They get up in the middle of the night and fire up the smoker. It compares to bbq you get in Texas. Staff and owner are really friendly too.

Honestly this is almost better than being in Mississippi on the Fourth of July. We came here for a little taste of home on an American holiday and got so much more. Everyone is saying that is too expensive for what you get. I 100% disagree.

The meat is high quality and is true smokehouse. The pork belly was falling apart tender, the sausage had great flavor with a spicy kick, the wings had a chargrill crispy skin with juicy meet inside, the ribs were falling off the bone. The only thing I'll say is the pulled pork wasn't my favorite. That needs something different but didn't kill my vibe. Also the pink lemonade to top things off was fresh and on point. We will definitely be eating here again because as I said, true American BBQ. OH. and the staff was killer amazing. All very friendly and accommodating. Great food. Great service. Five stars.

What are guests saying about Decker Barbecue on Social media?

Tender tender tender...beef brisket, pulled pork and ribs with cornbread, fries and brisket beans. Reminds me of proper barbecue back home in the US. Cornbread would be better if it was honey cornbread with pieces of corn. Will definitely be back.

Great location, great food, great service. It has its own charm and is a unique experience, it's not a familiar Singaporean experience - but it's not meant to be, it's classic American BBQ in a homely setting, completely unpretentious and utterly authentic. A fantastic food experience for those willing to broaden their palates and their minds.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful, and the overall vibe is one I keep coming back to.
