Think Marco’s baked Mac ‘n’ cheese or something a little more robust - the Roast free ranged Chicken or Honey roast Pork belly with all the trimmings Roast potatoes, buttered peas, Yorkshire pudding, rich gravy.

Fussy eaters will delight in the Spaghetti with cherry tomatoes and fresh basil  or go the whole hog with the Grilled Cumberland sausages with French fries and Buttered peas ( well maybe leave the peas....if you think your little princess will turn her nose up to them)

Marco Pierre White is the British chef, restaurateur, and television personality from Leeds, UK. White has been dubbed the first celebrity chef, and the enfant terrible of the UK restaurant scene. He was called the godfather of modern cooking by Australian MasterChef and has a following that is global - to say the least.

To get the taste buds going you will be served Canapés consisting of Quails Scotch Egg (pictured above) served with a delicious Salad Cream and the classic Devil’s on Horseback, Prunes Wrapped in Beacon.

Complement your experience with a Sunday Cocktail. Try the Harry’s Bar Bellini or the Petiot’s Bloody Mary ($22+)

Moving onto Starters which will lead you through this $75, 4-course Sunday extravaganza, the following is an explanation from the author of what to expect. Mr Walsh’s English Pea and Ham Soup made with the Finest Quality Ham Hock, a Wheeler’s Classic Prawn Cocktail consisting of a Sauce Marie Rose served with Brown Bread and Butter, or our pick for the day was the Beef Tea with Woodland Mushrooms, (pictured below) wait till you taste the mouth-watering English Dumplings floating in broth. This dish is served with light slithers of fresh Truffle which helps life the broth to perfection.

There’s also the Potted Duck with Green Peppercorns served with Cornichons, Toasted Sourdough, a Potted Scottish Salmon with Fennel, Grebiche garnich and a Toasted Sourdough and the popular Parfait of foie gras au raisin sec, ($8 supplement)

And for something a little lighter, order yourself the Fresh Asparagus with Truffles served with a drizzling of Vinaigrette Truffles or the Maxim’s Croustade of Eggs with Truffle, Mushroom Duxelle and topped with Sauce Hollandaise.

Now for the Classic Sunday Roast. There are three to consider. To experience then all in one sitting, get your party to share and experience the best that The English House has to offer. There is the Roast Chicken Properly Garnished served with a Sage and Onion Stuffing, Pigs in Blanket, Bread Crumbs and Bread Sauce, topped with Chicken Roasting Juices.

Honey Roast Pork Belly with Apple Sauce with a Sage and Onion Stuffing, Honey Roasting Juices or our selection the Roast Rib of Black Angus Molly Parkin, (pictured above) served with the classic Yorkshire Pudding, Creamed Horseradish resting in a Beef Roasting Juices ($10 Supplement)

All three of the above signature roasts are served with Box Tree Braised Red Cabbage, Swede Purée, Buttered Garden Peas, Roast Potatoes and Rich Gravy.

There are other options other than the Sunday Roast. Check out The Mainboard selections including a Wing of English Skate á la Grenobloise, Prawns, Cucumber, Capers, Parsley, Lemon, Beurre noisette and a Buttered Leaf Spinach

The Creamy Polenta with Fresh Truffle, Fricassee of Woodland Mushrooms, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Aged Parmesan served with a Buttered Leaf Spinach. Wheeler’s Salmon Fishcake Soft Boiled Eggs, Sauce Tartare and a Buttered Leaf Spinach

The Braised Shin of Black Angus Beef En Pie. Braised Tendons Singapore Style, Chantenay Carrots, Charlotte Potatoes, Swede Puree or the Braised Ox Cheek in Red Wine á L’Ancienne (Serves Two) consisting of Braised Spiced Tendons, Braising Liquor and Singapore Flat Noodles.

No Sunday meal is complete without Pudding and there’s plenty to select. Sherry Triffle Wally Ladd, a Traditional Apple Crumble with Vanilla Ice Cream. The Vintage Stilton served with Sherry Soaked Fruit Cake or the classic Bread and Butter Pudding served with Fresh Cream

at The English House, you also have the option of Bitter Chocolate Mousse served with a Crème Chantilly and Hazelnut Nougatine or a signature - Mr White’s Tiramisu.
