Amid all the French and Goan fare that seems to dominate the North Goa dining scene, adds a dash of South Indian spice. Delhiites may remember it from its Hauz Khas Village days from where it moved to Goa with its somewhat reclusive owner Satish Warrier. Gunpowder shares its beautiful Portuguese bungalow with a boutique—a good idea given that service can often be a bit, shall we say, susegad. The mutton stew and appam is an absolute must-have, if you don’t mind meat, but the vegetarians can expect a flavourful feast as well. Tables are few and demand is usually high, so book ahead or prepare to wait by the bar, which thankfully serves some of the best cocktails in all of Goa.

Hey visit this place called Gunpowder in Goa that will provide flavours from the South Indian states. There are a lot of veg and non-veg curry options that hail from Kerala, Coorg and many more places. The ambience makes it a restaurant worth visiting that gives you feels of having food in the woods or around the greenery. Colorful, modern eatery with garden-style outdoor seating & a menu focused on South Indian cuisine. http://www.expatchoice.asia

Possibly one of the best restaurants in Goa. The Kerala dishes like fried beef, pork, Andhra prawns and pineapple pachaddi are outstanding. They have their own beer on tap, also a must try. Always worth a visit or two when in Goa.
