The concept is "every day is a weekend" A new style cafe & dining filled with adult play and hobbies. Weekend Garage Tokyo is at the midpoint between Daikanyama, Shibuya and Ebisu, where you can see the JR Yamanote Line (Common name: WGT). Weekend Garage Tokyo is a secret base for adults with various hobbies and activities such as cars, motorcycles, bicycles, surfing, music, fashion, art and DIY.

The counter seats overlooking the open kitchen, the space with a ceiling height of 5m, and the terrace seats are very open. The dishes are inspired by the West Coast of the United States, and are composed with free ideas by adding the essence of each country such as Thailand, Vietnam, China, Mexico, Italy, and Spain. Enjoy food with a live feeling that makes use of the iron plate and grills. *A free live music is held every week. For more information, please visit Facebook.

ROCK STAR TREATMENT:  Our first weekend living in japan and we were looking for somewhere to feel welcome and comfortable.  WGT provided it. Polite smiles and laughter greeted our poor attempts at Japanese. It was grungy and cool. We could have been rockstars and the venue doubles up as a music stage for the real thing.

F&B PRESENTATION: Beer was honeyed; highball was refreshing; the Mexican burger, once picked up, was not put down (as one should not); the okonomiyaki (Japanese savoury pancake) was dee-licious! For a lazy Saturday lunch, we couldn’t want for more.

WOW FACTOR: The venue is an old garage, in between other garages across from a railway line in trendy Daikanyama. The art on the walls is contemporary – just like my husband’s – making use of everyday things. There’s live music and a DJ  on offer once a week on different nights. We have to go back.
