Sofitel, the renowned French luxury hospitality brand, has launched its first-ever limited-edition collection of La Haute Croissanterie Blossoms — a bold, elegant reinterpretation of the classic French croissant, inspired by flowers and flavours from around the world. For the first time, pastry becomes a canvas for cultural expression, with each creation celebrating a native bloom. In Singapore, the spotlight is on a truly local twist: a teh tarik-infused croissant that reflects the city’s rich culinary identity.

Following the global success of the original La Haute Croissanterie concept launched on World Croissant Day in January 2024, La Haute Croissanterie Blossoms pushes the boundaries of traditional pastry-making, transforming the beloved croissant into a luxurious, flower-infused gastronomic experience. Available for a limited time across seven iconic Sofitel properties worldwide, the collection brings the signature French "art de vivre" to life through taste, fragrance, and design.

A Blossoming Celebration of Culture and Craft

Crafted by Sofitel’s talented pastry chefs, La Haute Croissanterie Blossoms draws inspiration from the refined traditions of French floral arrangements and marries them with the vibrant flavours of local blooms. The result? A sensory journey that is as visually stunning as it is delicious.

Each of the seven croissants in the collection is designed to reflect the flora and flavour of its destination — from the cherry blossoms of South Korea to the wild hibiscus of Benin. In Singapore, Sofitel Singapore City Centre has created a one-of-a-kind croissant infused with teh tarik, the nation’s beloved milk tea, offering a creamy, aromatic twist that perfectly complements the croissant’s buttery layers.

This distinctly Singaporean creation is an homage to the city’s multicultural food landscape and is part of a broader effort by Sofitel to highlight local heritage through the lens of French patisserie.

French Pastry Meets Singaporean Soul

Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s pastry chefs have masterfully balanced the richness of French pastry with the comfort and familiarity of local flavour. The teh tarik croissant captures the creamy sweetness and frothy texture of the traditional drink, delivering an indulgent experience with every bite.

This culinary innovation is part of Sofitel’s larger vision to celebrate cultural links across its global network. From ingredients to presentation, each croissant in the Blossoms collection embodies the spirit of its origin while staying true to Sofitel’s French roots. It’s a testament to the brand’s ability to connect people and places through elevated, thoughtful experiences.

A Tour of Taste Across Asia and Beyond

Alongside Singapore’s teh tarik delight, other standout creations in Asia include:

  • The Seoul Bom Blush (South Korea): A delicate cherry blossom-inspired croissant crafted by Pastry Chef Hyunho Lim at Sofitel Ambassador Seoul. Sculpted to resemble petals, it features cherry blossom whipped ganache and raspberry gel.
  • The Pandan Croissant (Thailand): A fragrant nod to Thai culinary tradition, served at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit.
  • The Amok Croissant (Cambodia): With notes of coconut curry, this pastry pays homage to Cambodia’s national dish at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.
  • The Squid Ink & Sea Salt Croissant (Thailand): Created at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort, this pastry mirrors the oceanfront charm of southern Thailand.

Globally, guests can experience croissants made with Moroccan orange blossom, Mexican dahlia, and Middle Eastern saffron, further enriching this immersive, international culinary journey.

A Limited-Time Culinary Voyage

La Haute Croissanterie Blossoms is available for a limited time only — from May to August 2025 — at select Sofitel hotels across the world. Each croissant is handcrafted and served in limited quantities, turning the experience into a sought-after indulgence for culinary explorers and culture lovers alike.

In Singapore, the teh tarik croissant is now available at Sofitel Singapore City Centre for a limited period.

A Celebration of Elegance, Creativity, and Local Culture

“We created La Haute Croissanterie Blossoms to celebrate not only the finesse of French patisserie but the beauty of global traditions,” said Anne-Cécile Degenne, Corporate Executive Chef of Sofitel. “Each croissant is a tribute to the flowers and flavours that define a destination — an edible bouquet that connects our guests to a sense of place.”

As Sofitel continues to blend French elegance with local flair, La Haute Croissanterie Blossoms stands as a delicious reminder that cultural appreciation can be both beautiful and bite-sized.

For those seeking to experience something extraordinary this spring and summer, a trip to Sofitel might just offer the world — one croissant at a time.
