The Jolly Roger is a cosy pub in West Singapore, serving the Upper Bukit Timah and Bukit Batok areas.

Nestled in the residential Hillview neighbourhood, we’re located halfway up a hill against a backdrop of lush, green rainforest.

The landlord is from Cornwall, UK (‘pirate country’ over there!), so great food and drinks are important:

On tap we’ve got some excellent draught beers including London Pride ale, our bottled beers include four from St. Austell Ales in Cornwall, plus we stock a wide range of ciders, wines, spirits, and an extensive cocktail selection.

It is easily the best bar in Singapore, great friendly atmosphere, great staff, alloy and Daniel always welcome me with a huge smile when I go in. James the owner is also worth a mention as he mixes with the patrons when he is there. Have admit I am never far away unless I am away working of course. 5 stars from me. Had a great time at Jolly Roger to watch the royal wedding. Very fitting to watch it at a British Pub. Beer was great as well as the pub food (bangers and mash). James the owner was a perfect host and made us feel very welcome. Tomi Fujimura reviewed The Jolly Roger – 5 star on Facebook

Normal boozer with normal people. No airs or graces. Where everyone can be themselves.

Staff good and friendly, along with the service. Food above average and ideally basic and quick for pub grub. Malcolm Norquoy recommends The Jolly Roger.
