I was looking forward to visiting Monochrome Cafe as the online photos of this cafe looked great and the place did not disappoint. It looks like a picture book! There is the front seating and back seating of the cafe - the upstairs is not accessible though you could take photos freely along the shop.
It was quiet when I arrived at 11:30a.m. (only customer). And the back of the cafe where my friends and I sat was echoey because it is just full of hard edges. I took a lot of photos and loved the props littered around the cafe like ladder, guitar, camera, clock, for us to take photos with.
The staff was friendly and the food was average though. The food didn't impress my friends and I but it is well worth the trip. Hotel Vanguard is just a stone's thrown away and also worth checking out.
