Published - 13 September 2021, Monday

In keeping its promise of serving the heartiest Australian fare created with the freshest premium ingredients, Australian-inspired steakhouse Barossa Bar & Grill is pleased to unveil a new menu boasting a brand new selection of appetisers, small plates, an enhanced Josper Grill section, revised mains and over 100 selection of red and white wines.

The new VivoCity outlet shines the spotlight on dry-aged Australian beef and Josper oven-grilled lamb, poultry and seafood dishes. The Australian-inspired restaurant serves only the highest quality and carefully sourced meats from Australian farms.

Headlining the show is one Kagoshima A4 Wagyu Beef as well as a New Zealand Lamb Rack with Moroccan Spice for new choices that nonetheless retain the same quality and consistency that Barossa is known for.

Barossa is an Australian-inspired steakhouse where ‘outback meets chic’. Here, you can tuck into hearty fare created with the freshest ingredients from premium grades of Australian beef, to high quality lamb rack, poultry, and seafood dishes.

New surprises in the menu include the French Duck Rillette, which sees breast and thigh confit in duck fat. Meant for communal sharing, the Small Bites Trio of Salmon Cornet, Chicken Chicharron and Hokkaido Scallop Tartare is bound to whet your appetite.

From the fiery furnace of the Josper charcoal grill, Barossa has perfected the way to cook a new Japanese Kagoshima A4 Wagyu Beef Sirloin (180g) (S$48/100g).

The controlled heat of the oven melts the high marbling of the beef just right to leave it buttery tender inside while boasting an ideal golden brown crust outside from the prized Maillard reaction, perfect to be served with garlic confit, some blistered tomato and choice of one sauce.

New among the mains is one New Zealand Lamb Rack with Moroccan Spice (S$48), a whole rack of lamb cooked juicy tenderness laced with intense flavours thanks to a rub of Moroccan spices, made from a combination of ground cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, allspice, cloves, ginger, and cinnamon. Grilled US asparagus and a cumin brown sauce round off the flavours with a green herbaceousness for a meal that meets all palatial expectations.
