Culina at COMO Dempsey

Published - 25 May 2020, Monday

Culina’s most ambitious project to date.

Popular bistro and fine foods store Culina Dempsey has closed their original store at Dempsey Block 8 and reopened a few blocks away, at Dempsey Block 15

The new Culina at COMO Dempsey offers an array of dining and shopping activities within at 15,000-square foot space, providing a ‘farm-to-table’ experience.

The Bistro is also less integrated with the grocery store than previously, but the same concept applies, select for groceries, have them prepare, enjoy your meal in the Bistro!

Tip! Sit at the bar counter which is positioned between the restaurant and the market. It's a beautiful place to tipple and graze.

Pick up your share of freshly baked hot cross buns at the bakery in Culina Market. Spiced with citrus, and stuffed with apricot and orange chunks, their signature hot cross buns retail at $4 for two!

While you’re there, grab a hand-painted, chocolate hen, lollipop rabbit, or polka-dotted egg as a special Easter treat.

TIP: Select a piece of grass-fed meat from the meat section of the market A 298 gram piece of Great Southern Pinnacle Beef Cube Roll cost $28.96 on our visit.

With the additional $15 preparation charge, the steak's full cost is about $44. There is a choice of sauces. The black pepper sauce goes perfectly with this meat.

You will enjoy a lean, slightly juicy and flavorsome steak.

Most would be happy to pay the $15 to cook and serve the meat at the Bistro than to buy it, take it home and cook it yourself. In retrospect $44 is a pretty good deal.
