We all love our food especially living in Singapore where it is in abundance. At every turn there are new establishments opening and with great fan fare.
We can never forget our golden oldies and favourite haunts, but to put a few new kids on the block just makes the playing field a little more competitive and who doesn't like a little competition to keep everybody on their toes. In this article we put the spotlight on the places which have recently opened up and are making their mark. - Image Credit: Levant Bar Facebook Page
Nixta

Relish sumptuous Mexican food like heirloom corn tortillas, handmade salsa, and smoky meats roasted on an open fire at Nixta. Their Wood-Fired Oyster with charred jalapeno butter & “molcajete” tomato vinaigrette is so good we wanted to get up and applaud. Do give their Travis’ Cadillac Fajitas with Tajima wagyu ribeye a try. Their in-house mole sauce pairs beautifully with the meat, and paired with ember-roasted chiles & onions, mezcal butter, lime, crema, and warm flour tortillas make this dish a treat. - Image Credit: Nixta Mexican Grill & Bar Facebook Page

Persea

Taking healthy eating to a gourmet level, Persea has introduced us to their low-carb menu, and we’re psyched. Ordering cocktail after cocktail while being on a diet has never been this easy, for all of the fiery concoctions here are without sugar. Their Mediterranean menu packs a punch with every dish, be it their Greek-style Burratina, Cauli-Hummus, or Yoghurt Parfait. We are head-over-heels for their Barramundi with flower clams & saffron beurré blanc and Tzatziki Daiquiri. - Image Credit: Persea Facebook Page
