Live music, good food great service McGettigans on the corner of Clarke quay is a good place to start your night off at the weekends.
If you want a chilled Friday they have an acoustic set on, it's very chilled but they have really good musicians, not too loud, (for the elderly out there!).
Saturday night is usually a bit more lively, if you are out for a big night, kick off here with a bit of a dance.
If you can't be bothered to cook dinner - it is the weekend after all - they do a great bangers and mash, lovely lunch and dinner menu, with of course the obligatory Irish all day breakfast. Simply delicious!
McGettigans is famous for its sports so it always has the Soccer, Rugby, Gaelic football and so much more - the list is endless and there is always a great atmosphere, especially for the big matches.
I can't rave enough about the staff, 2 Irish managers, who always look after their customers which has filtered down to the rest of the staff. They are uber friendly and it's service with a smile.
However, as it's Clarke quay the drinks are not so cheap, make sure it's pay day when you go down! On the up for us ladies, Wednesday night is for you; ladies night - 3 complimentary drinks, sorry lads unfortunately you miss out on this one!
Get yourself down for a couple of pints of Guinness!
