Restaurant JAG is launching a new dining series called "Les Copains d'Abord," which brings together some of the most renowned chefs to promote the art of vegetable-centric food. The series, which begins in May 2024, is more than just a gourmet event; it's a gathering of friends and colleagues who share a passion for food and innovation.

The program's name, which translates as "mates come first," captures the spirit of companionship and teamwork at the heart of this endeavour. It emphasises the idea that wonderful food is best enjoyed in good company. The five-course dinner menu, starting at $248++, is designed to emphasise the best seasonal vegetables, expertly created with precision and originality. It consists of two cold dishes, two hot courses, and a dessert, with the option of canapés, mignardises, and petit fours. There will be beverage options available to match the food.

Chef Jeremy Gillon, the culinary mastermind behind JAG, is joined by a talented group of guest chefs, each with their own style and experience. Lewis Barker, the head chef at Sommer, a one-Michelin-starred modern European restaurant, will lead the launch night on May 9.

The spring season provides an ideal setting, with an abundance of fresh green veggies and morels. Other well-known chefs include Arnaud Dunand Sauthier of Maison Dunand, Masashi Horiuchi of Entier, and Takeshi Araki of Esora. These chefs will not only collaborate at JAG but will also welcome Chef Jeremy in his restaurants, instilling a sense of culinary exchange and exploration.

The "Les Copains d'Abord" series concludes on November 18, 2024, with a spectacular finale marking Restaurant JAG's sixth anniversary. This one-day event will include renowned chefs including Francois Mermilloid of Bar-A-Thym, Patrick Leano of Burnt Ends, Olivier Bendel of Deliciae Hospitality Management, and Stephane Istel of Bar-Roque Grill. The climax demonstrates the profound connections that have inspired these culinary geniuses in their pursuit of perfection.

It emphasises the importance of friendship and teamwork in the culinary world while also providing a one-of-a-kind and amazing dining experience.
