Natalie Dau, a 10-time ultramarathon winner from Singapore, will wrap off her monumental Project 1000 on Wednesday June 5th, which also happens to be Global Running Day. This ambitious endeavour entails jogging an astounding 1000 kilometres from Hat Yai, Thailand, via Malaysia, and ending in Singapore. The final leg of this race will start in Woodlands and culminate at The Westin Singapore in Asia Square at 6 p.m. SGT.

The event is precisely planned, with detailed route maps and schedules, allowing runners from all around Singapore to join Natalie at various times during the day.

Natalie sees Project 1000 as more than simply a personal challenge; it is a community event that brings individuals from all walks of life together. On the day of the final run, The Westin Singapore will host celebrations with local running groups, organisations, special guests, and partners to commemorate Natalie's tremendous accomplishment and the support she has received. Natalie urges everyone to join in any way they can, whether by running, cycling or simply rejoicing at the finish line.

Natalie's journey, which begins on May 25th in Hat Yai, will cover nearly two marathons per day for twelve days. This strenuous pace attempts to break both the Guinness World Record for the "Fastest Crossing of Peninsular Malaysia on Foot" and the Singapore Records title for the "Fastest 1000 km Thailand-Singapore Ultramarathon."

Project 1000 is a significant fundraiser that supports poor women and girls, raises awareness of the gender gap in physical activity, and emphasises the value of exercise for mental health and overall well-being. The donations raised will benefit GRLS, a global organisation under Women Win dedicated to strengthening women and girls through sports. Natalie's efforts are motivated by her conviction in the transformational power of physical activity, as well as her desire to inspire people to push their limitations, gain confidence, and adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Natalie's vision for Project 1000 is profoundly founded in community spirit and the power of collaboration. She believes that her adventure will encourage people to confront and conquer their own self-imposed restrictions, demonstrating that with determination and support, remarkable feats are possible. The conclusion of this race in Singapore on Global Running Day marks not just the completion of a physical journey, but also the start of a larger movement for more inclusion, empowerment, and health awareness.
