Fine times are set to return to the Margaret River Wine Region this spring with close to 30 events planned for the Margaret River Fine Vines Festival from 20-29 October, 2023.
Now in its third year, Margaret River Fine Vines Festival is a celebration of the region’s world-class wines and the 2023 program welcomes back inaugural favourites plus many exciting new events and collaborations filling 10 glorious spring days. "The collaboration of more than 80 wineries across Fine Vines creates a fantastic opportunity for visitors to experience some of the best bucket-list wine experiences the region has to offer,” said Margaret River Wine Association CEO Amanda Whiteland.
Returning to Fine Vines this year is the Busselton Wine Hop, a self-guided meander through the city of Busselton on Saturday, 21 October that situates some of the region’s must-do experiences and small-scale wine producers within a walkable radius of Busselton’s best venues. Epitomising extraordinary experiences, Clairault Streicker is back to wow guests aboard a catamaran with Wine on the Water, a whale watching and wine tasting experience, on Saturday, 21 October.
At Margaret River Open Vineyards, guests are invited - for one weekend only - to go behind the vineyard gate and meet the winemakers whose vineyards aren’t usually open to the public.
Joining Fine Vines this year is award-winning sommelier, restaurateur and certified wine educator, Foni Pollitt with the Somm Trek. This insider’s tour on Saturday, 21 October is a six-hour vineyard-to-vineyard tasting to learn about small-batch wines from a host of small-scale producers. “It is always so much fun to go down the rabbit hole and learn about wine with like-minded people. I’m very excited to spend the day visiting a group of incredible wineries without cellar doors on the Somm Trek,” Pollitt said.
Last year’s festival favourites Chameleon at Vasse Felix, Pet Nat Party at Bungalow Neighbourhood Social and Mozzarella in the Cellar at Juniper Estate will also be returning.
