"In Japanese mythology, a tanuki is a shapeshifting prankster, a playful creature with big balls and a big heart.

We believe dining out should be a fun experience, serving up dishes that make you amused, inquisitive, and most of all happy.

We love everything Japanese, but we also love that no-holds-barred American street food, so we did what we wanted to do... Put them together for creations that are unique and unbelievably flavourful."

Tanuki Raw serves up amazing donburi as well as a selection of unique creations that combine Japanese-inspired food with the playfulness of American street food.

We have locations at Orchard Central mall and the National Design Centre in Singapore.

Satiate your hunger pangs with the delicious Japanese fare at Tanuki Raw. Their rice bowls are delicious and are great if you’re on your own and famished. We recommend going for their Truffle Yakiniku or Spicy Mentaiko with their signature rice. Come during happy hours and enjoy freshly shucked oysters and tasty cocktails like Niigata Negroni and Sake Honey. Pair your drinks with their Wham Fries, Superstar Reroll, or Assorted Sashimi.

Infamous for being the only raw bar happy hour offered in Singapore — Tanuki Raw has 3 outlets in total! The heart of Singapore’s shopping district (Orchard Central) is a daily crowd-magnet for oyster cravers from 5PM - 8PM. One drink gets you up to 6 succulent oysters, at $2 each (whatta deal!) Their Middle Road outlet (National Design Centre) has the same offer running. Only one outlet (Jewel Changi Airport) stands apart from Tanuki Raw’s daily oyster happy hour deal, given a slight revision in timings, which fall from 3PM - 7PM. But they make up for it with a winning sunset viewpoint, to sip in leisure and slurp with pleasure.

I've only been to the National Design Centre location, but I love it! Great food. And most of all, I love their happy hour promo - yummy cocktails, and cheap oysters!! There's also a time each day that you can get free gyozas if you order a cocktail.
