Sushi Tei - Paragon

Published - 21 May 2020, Thursday

The motto “A Good Deal of Sushi” pretty much says it all: head to these crowd-pleasing, super fam-friendly sushi restaurants (13 locations across the island!) for all manner of lunch and dinner sets, conveyor belt offerings, and fresh fish at surprisingly decent price points and, even if your kiddos aren’t quite sushi aficionados yet, the menu also features Japanese favorites like noodles, edamame, Wagyu beef, rice bowls and much more.

At Sushi Tei, they have perfected the Japanese Kaiten (conveyor belt) concept that revolves around our open kitchen, culminating in a warm and inviting ambience that immerses their  guests in a truly authentic Japanese culinary experience; their thoughtfully curated menu showcases wide-ranging Japanese classics, marrying the intricacies of Sashimi & Sushi to the theatrical flair of Yakimono & Nabemono.

They pride themselves on using only the freshest quality ingredients to deliver bold and exciting versions of classic dishes with an innate intuition of local tastes, forging an inimitable epicurean identity of their own and a memorable gastronomic journey to truly remember.

Flowers change every season, and so does the sushi on the seasonal menu of Sushi Tei. Enjoy limited edition delights like Hokkaido 4 Cheese Negitoro Roll, Sudachi Buri Sushi & Sashimi, and Lake Saroma Wagyu Don.

Their regular menu is quite plentiful and will keep you satiated with delicious sashimi and a variety of sushi like Makimono, Temaki, Gunkan, Nigiri, Sushi Moriawase, and their Special Roll.

We love ordering their Spicy Aburi Maguro & Salmon Roll, Sanshoku Wafu Carpaccio, Crispy Ebi Mentaiyaki featuring deep-fried prawns & shiitake mushroom with cod roe, and Kaisen Ramen made with assorted seafood and a pork base. Yum!

While you can’t quite enjoy Sushi Tei’s signature conveyor belt experience, you can order in a variety of sushi and sashimi party packs depending on your preference, like the Salmon Lover, or the Hon Maguro Lover. You can even get your fried food cravings sorted with the Mix Fried Platter, complete with karaage, gyoza, and salmon fried. Free delivery is available with orders of above $100, but if you’re not going all in the $5 flat fee isn’t at all unreasonable.

"I would like to thank Keen from Serangoon Nex outlet for his wonderful service.

I was at the Nex outlet at 11.10am (20 min prior to store opening) and had needed a Yusheng urgently for a gathering that starts at 12pm somewhere else. Keen (I believe he is the store supervisor and I hope I had gotten his name correctly) was eager to assist and had promptly prepared the delicious Sushi Tei Yusheng that my guests and I absolutely love.

I deeply appreciate Keen's help for going the extra mile to assist customers even when the store was not quite ready for the store's official operating hours at 11.30am. Thanks to him, I had a Yusheng to serve up to my guests yesterday.
