Experience dining 57-stories above ground amidst Singapore’s stunning city skyline, whilst enjoying a hearty Italian-American cuisine accompanied with electrifying music. Indulge in all-time favorites like the classic Chicken Parmigiano and the famous LAVO Meatball – made of fresh Imperial Wagyu Beef and Italian sausage, spiced to perfection and topped with whipped ricotta cheese. Satiate your palate with the signature 20-Layer Chocolate Cake, layered with peanut butter mascarpone for a wickedly rich and luscious treat.
The 180 degree view of the city is not the only highlight of LAVO Singapore. Lavo also flaunts aluxurious lounge (indoor & outdoor) with a full equipped DJ booth situated in the heart of the restaurant. Every Saturday, watch the Italian-American restaurant transforms into a “club” as the DJ take over the night with pumping music to get you dancing all night long. Party to Hip Hop beats and Top 40s, it is the perfect pre-party spot before hitting up your next party destination.
If parties ain’t your vibe, end the week with the perfect Sunday Champagne Brunch, every Sunday from 12 – 3pm.
In the eight years that have passed, a plethora of restaurants and bars have come and gone - anyone remember Ku De Ta? - and the top of the building has been really very hit and miss with F&B outlets.
LAVO changes this and - with its unique position at the 'stern' of the ship, it is one of the best spots at the MBS.
The food is superb Italian/American style fare - try the one pound meatball (S$38) made with fresh ground Imperial Wagyu, veal and Italian sausage.
The spinach and artichoke pizza with mozzarella, roasted garlic, black olives and mushrooms (S$30) is unusually shaped but very tasty.
I commented that beetroot isn't on the menu much in Singapore (to find it the same day elsewhere) and the roasted beet goat cheese, citrus, toasted almond, sun dried tomato vinaigrette (S$24) was excellent and extremely healthy.
There are oysters and clams to kick off with, as well as shrimp and lobster cocktails. The wine list is pretty reasonable - providing the perfect setting for a dreamy afternoon of pleasure looking the never tiring vistas of Singapore and the straits.
LAVO Singapore has upped the game where mid-day meals are concerned.
The restaurant now opens its doors from 10.30am onwards, serving up brunch items like the savoury Avocado Toast with cippolini onion and poached eggs, Chicken N’ Waffles with spiced chicken breast on a stack of ricotta waffles, and a Breakfast Pizza topped with eggs sunny-side up.
