The East of Singapore keeps getting better and bolder, with new shops opening daily. Joo Chiat has grown into a hive of activity although enclaves are cropping up everywhere along this 15-kilometre stretch.

Being a breakfast buff, I love places that have an all-day breakfast menu. No need to worry about waking up early and rushing to the cafe before they put the shutters on their breakfast menu.

No matter what the clock says, feast on The Croque Monsieur, Big Boy Breakfast, and Eggs Benedict or get treated to a myriad of local flavors with the Stinky Har Cheong Gai Waffle.

Don’t ever forget to order their exceptional coffee, as FH was one of the first cafes in Singapore to give its customers a taste of Third Wave Coffee. Caffeine ride, anyone? Image Credit: Forty Hands Facebook Page

In May 2018 the team moved East and opened the second Forty Hands outlet in the bustling ‘hood of Joo Chiat.  Alongside signature favourites, the new outlet has given Forty Hands the chance to explore it’s kopitiam roots and add new dishes, such as the Stinky Har Cheong Gai Waffle, to its brunch line up.

Decorated in an eclectic style to reflect the quirky nature and neighbourly vibe of their locations. Each café has a custom made Synesso coffee machine, comfy corners for private brunches and large sharing tables to enjoy with friends. Come in, enjoy a brew and say hi when you're next in the neighbourhood!
