Popular purveyor of scrumptious sourdough bomboloni and decadently chocolatey brownies The Fat Kid Bakery is now more accessible than ever with its relocation to Amoy Street on 18th April 2023.

Formerly calling Ang Mo Kio home, The Fat Kid Bakery’s new Amoy premises boasts a bigger kitchen and offers an even wider range of freshly baked treats. Just three minutes’ walk from Telok Ayer MRT (DT18), it is easily identified by the vibrant Fat Kid and pastries mural on its storefront.

The Fat Kid Bakery has already unveiled a selection of artisanal bread loaves, savoury bomboloni, and croissants, and will also roll out sandwiches in the coming weeks – the latter especially hits the spot as a quick lunch option for the Central Business District’s clientele of office workers. This shift marks a new chapter for the bakery as it grows and caters to a higher volume of walk-in customers on top of pre-order pick-ups.

Inspired by the overwhelming popularity of the bakery’s Sourdough Loaf ($10), The Fat Kid Bakery will introduce a rotating specials menu of freshly made artisanal breads, including milk loaf, country white sourdough loaf, focaccia, and ciabatta. Fans of The Fat Kid Bakery’s loaves will soon also be able to enjoy the artisanal breads as sandwiches.

All-time favourites such as their original Sourdough Bombos ($3.80-$6.50) each or boxes of 4/8/10/12), French-style artisanal Croissants ($4.50 for plain, $5.50 for chocolate) and Chocolate Brownies ($18/bottle, $32/big box) are available daily. The bomboloni (Italian filled doughnuts) burst with delicious sweet or savoury fillings, such as the newly launched Spicy Egg Mayo or Roasted Garlic Mascarpone, or sugary classics including Chocolate, Vanilla Crème Brûlée, and Blueberry Cheesecake.

To top it all off, caffeine-fueled office workers will now also be able to get their coffee fix of Latte ($6.50), Caffè Mocha ($7), Cappuccino ($6.50), or Long Black ($5.50) at The Fat Kid Bakery. Available for takeaway and made from Yahava beans, the coffees are a great complement to the bakery’s tantalising treats.
