In the enchanting enclave of Chijmes, where tradition meets modernity and fairy lights abound, a new culinary gem has emerged, casting its spell on the Singaporean dining scene. Dew by Whitegrass, the casual offshoot of the esteemed Whitegrass, has gracefully taken its place next to its Michelin-starred sister, offering a warm and inviting space that seamlessly blends modernity with intimacy.

A recent soirée with three close girlfriends at this innovative eatery was a perfect night out - delectable sharing plates, unique Sakes and cocktails and an inviting space for a relaxing evening.

As we stepped into Dew by Whitegrass, the ambience whispered promises of a delightful experience ahead. The décor strikes a perfect balance between contemporary chic and intimate charm, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The restaurant's ambience exudes a sense of warmth, making it an ideal destination for a romantic date night or an evening of shared indulgence with friends.

The menu at Dew by Whitegrass is a testament to the culinary ingenuity that has made its Michelin-starred sibling a revered name in Singapore's fine dining scene. European sharing plates take centre stage, each dish artfully crafted with a delicate Asian touch. We particularly enjoyed the sharing nature of the dishes enabling us to sample a range of flavours and cooking styles. They also expertly handled our one gluten-free guest and she was able to enjoy all the dishes via an adapted version if needed.

FASTER - Cheese Puff The Cheese Puff, (pictured above) a delectable creation of cheese choux puff crowned with shredded cheese and black pepper, initiated our culinary adventure. Its melt-in-the-mouth texture and harmonious blend of flavours set the tone for the evening. Chef Smoked The Salmon, a symphony of home-smoked salmon, garlic herb mayo, and marinated purple onion, followed suit, tantalising our palates with every bite.

The Anchovy Favourite Fritters, featuring potato frites with anchovy butter and parsley, and the Prosciutto on Brioche, a dance of black sesame brioche with prosciutto and Stracciatella cheese, highlighted the kitchen's commitment to innovative pairings and culinary finesse.

Unagi Meets Tamago, a delightful amalgamation of unagi and boiled egg with a special mayo, brought a unique twist to traditional flavours. The Yuzu Kosho Seaweed Pasta with Salmon, featuring tagliatelle pasta with seaweed and yuzu pepper, offered a hearty dish that introduced a burst of freshness which perfectly complemented the other savoury delights.

A standout amongst the delicious spread was the "R" Omi Ribeye, a melt-in-your-mouth experience of roasted A4 Omi Wagyu ribeye with sautéed mushrooms and wasabi. The meat was cooked to perfection and the flavours danced on our palates, leaving an indelible mark of culinary excellence.

For dessert, the Little Kiss Cheesecake emerged as a sweet crescendo to our culinary odyssey. A home made cheesecake adorned with red wine sauce and a touch of Little Kiss Tea Liqueur, it was a divine conclusion to an evening of shared indulgence.

What sets Dew by Whitegrass apart is its unique focus on Sake and Shochu, with over 65 Sake varieties, including 40 exclusive boutique labels available only at this establishment. This curated selection complements the Asian influences present in the dishes, elevating the dining experience.

Dew by Whitegrass at Chijmes is more than just a dining destination; it's a unique Sake bar and gastronomic destination that invites patrons who are seeking a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation in the heart of Singapore.
