The last regular season round of the HSBC SVNS 2024 will be held in Singapore's National Stadium from May 3-5, with the men's and women's League Winners to be determined. This highly anticipated tournament will have the top 12 men's and women's teams from around the world competing for the crown, adding even more intensity to the already electrifying environment.

The women's teams will play for the first time in Singapore, bringing the total number of days of rugby sevens competition to three. The stakes are high, with New Zealand and Australia tied for first place in the women's standings. On the men's side, Argentina leads Ireland by eight points, making this their greatest chance to capture their first SVNS league title. The competition in Singapore will also select which teams will advance to the Grand Final in Madrid, which takes place from May 31 to June 2.

On Wednesday, all 24 team captains gathered at Siloso Beach on Sentosa Island to interact with young players and fans for the Furious 5's community beach rugby event. This interaction exemplified the spirit of rugby sevens, which is defined by community participation and entertainment.

The women's pool draw placed New Zealand in Pool A, alongside Canada, Ireland, and Spain. Meanwhile, Pool C includes Australia, Fiji, the United Kingdom, and Brazil. In Pool B, the United States, France, Japan, and South Africa will compete. Argentina leads Pool A in men's competition, which also includes New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. Ireland, Fiji, the United States, and the United Kingdom make up Pool C, while France leads Pool B, which includes South Africa, Spain, and Samoa.

Captains of numerous teams expressed their excitement for the upcoming contests. Risi Pouri-Lane, New Zealand's women's captain, spoke on the trip her team has taken and how winning the title would be a big milestone. Madison Ashby, Australia's women's captain, spoke about the joy of participating in Singapore for the first time and the anticipation of contending for the League Winners title. The updated competition format for HSBC SVNS 2024 has increased the level of excitement and risk, assuring strong competition from start to finish. The event in Singapore is the finale of seven regular-season events held throughout the world, concluding to a "winner-takes-all" Grand Final in Madrid. The best eight Singapore teams will advance to Madrid, while the bottom four will compete in a promotion and relegation tournament against the top teams from the World Rugby HSBC Sevens Challenger 2024.

Fans are urged to participate in the festivities by dressing up in brilliant and vibrant costumes, in keeping with rugby sevens' festive traditions. The event provides much more than just rugby, with live entertainment, international cuisine, and a Beach Club to provide an amazing experience.

Due to great demand, an additional 6,000 tickets per day have been made available, allowing more spectators to witness the spectacle. Tickets start at $45 for adults and $5.50 for children, and can be purchased on the event's official website. The HSBC SVNS Singapore event intends to showcase world-class rugby, with players competing for a spot in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Australian and New Zealand women's teams are tied for first place at the top of the ladder. This weekend will decide the victor. The women's pool draw saw current standings leaders New Zealand in Pool A with Canada, Ireland, who won gold at the Perth &s competition, and Spain. SVNS league title rivals Australia are drawn in Pool C with Fiji, Great Britain and Brazil. Pool B includes the USA, France, Japan, and South Africa.

Men's SVNS standings leaders Argentina have been drawn into a tough Pool A together with recent Hong Kong winners New Zealand, Australia and Canada. League title contenders Ireland are in Pool C with double Olympic champions Fiji, the USA and Great Britain. Pool B is led by France, which has reached the podium in the last three rounds, alongside South Africa, Spain, and Samoa.

New Zealand women's captain Risi Pouri-Lane said: "Really looking forward to playing in Singapore. Good job that the stadium is undercover, referring to Singapore's stifling humidity."

Australia women's captain Madison Ashby said: "We've heard many great things about coming here, so we can't wait to get out in front of the crowd and experience the unreal atmosphere. We will take it one game at a time, and that will see us through the finals."
