What’s your role on the island?
I'm the Island Manager. My role is to ensure our guest have a great stay and help showcase what makes a stay with us so special such as locally grown herbs and spices that can't be found outside of this region or our homemade syrups and carefully selected spirits...put simply the island life.

What’s one of your favourite memories from the past year?
When I had a guest bar shift at 28HKS. It's been voted one of the top 50 bars in Asia and I had the opportunity to meet and learn from lots of people within the hospitality industry. I also got the chance to showcase some of our island cocktails and must have made a hundred cocktails or so.

What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?
I am learning more about sustainability which I feel is something very important, especially for the future of this area. I'm not only about learning a sustainable approach to what we eat and drink but also about the energy that we use.

What’s the top destination on your must-visit list?
Japan. I'm fascinated by their approach to life, culture, history and discipline. I am also curious about the technology in Japan and how advanced it is.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
The first thing I do after a busy day is to call my family and find out how their day has been. Afterwards, you'll find me playing the guitar and singing with other staff members that are off duty in the staff quarters.

What’s one thing on the island you couldn’t live without?
COFFEE! I always start my day with a cup of coffee and it's something I don't think I can live without!
