The Junk Liveaboards has teamed up with Oceans For All Foundation to organise two special Leopard/Zebra Shark Expeditions. The first 8-12 April 2021 and the second outing 4-8 May 2021.
The aim of the two dive liveaboard trips is to assess the current numbers of Leopard Sharks in the Andaman Sea around Southern Phuket and the Similan Islands. The conclusions of this research will provide the basis for a Conservation Petition.
The petition will be presented to the Thai government with the ultimate goal of protecting the Leopard Sharks and their habitat in Thailand.
Anyone with a diving qualification is welcome to join these 4 night/5 day Expeditions. The first trip in April ventures out to the Similan & Surin Islands, the second expedition in May will focus on the area south of Phuket & Koh Phi Phi. Are you a fan of Leopard Sharks and do you want to make a difference? Be part of the change for Leopard Sharks!

The Junk will be the designated research vessel for both Expeditions. She accommodates 18 guests in 6 cabins with air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms including hot showers. There is a choice of twin/doubles, triples or quad cabins.
The Junk Liveaboards transports guests in two classic wooden boats on diving liveaboard holidays across the Andaman Sea in Thailand and Myanmar: The Junk and The Phinisi. For bookings and more information on the Leopard Shark Expeditions, contact: info@thejunk.cominfo@thejunk.com
