Have stayed at the Rasa Ria on many occasions and can throughly recommend it. Its just short flight to Kota Kinabalu and then 45 minute drive. I would recommend the Ocean Wing as it has large (95 sqm) rooms and seperate pool. The beach is great for kids and is flat making it very safe. Good restaurants, but the resort is a little remote so you have to rely on hotel restaurants unless you get a taxi.

The Dalit Bay golf course is right beside the hotel. It is a very good course with some spectacular holes near the ocean.
