The retelling of a cherished age. Nestled in the heart of Penang’s heritage centre, Noordin Mews is an intimate 1920s Peranakan shophouse turned hotel.

With rooms meticulously restored to capture the essence of a simpler age, Noordin Mews is a living memory of Penang’s colonial architecture.

The stay here is too good to just give a 5-star rating. Apart from a comfortable stay (very comfortable!), it felt right at home throughout. The hospitality from the concierge deserves another round of applause for their thoughtfulness, warmth and kindness shown.

As this is also a pet friendly hotel, the staff here were extremely helpful in any pet-related emergency (my dog fell ill from the long drive and the resourceful staff helped locate a local vet).

Another plus point for this hotel is they happily allowed us to bring packed food from outside and would take the trouble to even heat up and serve the food out for us.

They know that this being Penang, hawker food is a must try and it would make sense to pack the food from some of the famous stalls where seating is very limited.

I'm happy to find this little gem in the middle of Georgetown, will absolutely recommend this place and come back again in the near future!
