Asia is the Earth's largest and most populated continent. Apart from being one of the most densely populated continents in the world, Asia is the birthplace of the most mainstream religions including Christianity, Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, to name a few.

It also holds the site of many of the first civilizations. Moreover, Asia is home to two of the Seven Wonders of the World - The Great Wall of China, which is known to be the largest man made structure on earth, and the epitome of love and beauty - Taj Mahal of India.

Europe and Middle East are no more fashionable. People who have a love for traveling and likes to take the road less travelled should visit the remote and unexplored areas of some Asian locations.

Here are the top 7 untapped beaches in Asia that are on the list of travelers around the world.

An Thoi archipelago is one of the few islands where nature still has retained its serene beauty with a paradise of clear blue sea and white sand. They can be visited by chartered boat for sightseeing, fishing, swimming and snorkeling. Hon Thom which translates to ‘Pineapple Island’ is approximately 3km in length and is the largest island in the group.

This place is ideal for travelers looking for a more off the beaten path, rustic adventure and you will probably have the area all to yourself to snorkel. October to November is the perfect season to visit here. Crowds are not bad and the weather is mild during this time despite an occasional storm. Cambodia is still a very rugged country which is waiting to be explored completely.

When people hear Koh Phangan, most of them usually think Full Moon Party. But there is much more to the island than a celebration of youth. Thong Nai Pan is located on the island's northeastern tip, and consists of two beach resorts which ensure privacy in the most beautiful settings. Koh Phangan is relatively pleasant even during the rainy season. Thailand has beautiful protected national parks. You can trek up to the nearby waterfalls or take a diving course. Thailand is an excellent place when it comes to dive certification, and their open water is hard to beat. Thailand yoga retreats are a famous thing too and experience people from across the world.

San Jose is located near Boracay, Carabao Island which is probably the next big island destination. San Jose has white sand and beautiful waters, but without the massive crowds and high price tags. It is often considered a day trip, and is more than worthy of a few days of exploration.

December is the peak season here, so if you do not like crowds, you can consider the months of November or May for great deals on accommodation and lesser crowds. San Jose is less developed, which means there are many areas that are off the beaten path, including underground caves.

The Con Dao Islands were once the reserve of political prisoners, and have seen an increase in popularity thanks to their mystery and intrigue. An Hai beach is located along Ton Duc Thang Street, right in the center of Con Dao district. From the district center, it takes 10 minutes walk to reach the beach.

It has a long stretch of white sand surrounded by clear and blue as crystal water and the beach is sheltered by mountains, which makes An Hai Beach a great place to explore. It is an ideal place for travelers to rest and explore the natural landscapes of Con Dao.

From May to October, turtles nest on beaches so try not to miss their hatching. The waters around Con Dao have the best visibility from February to July. Con Dao offers the best diving and snorkeling in Vietnam and probably in Southeast Asia.

It is likely that you will find a giant Goanna (Komodo dragon) roaming the sands here, so do not be surprised as they are common here. This place is home to one of Asia’s most important Sea Turtle preservation centers, which is Juara Turtle Project. Juara and Tioman Islands, have never been crowded with tourists compared to their more famous neighbors, which is the reason for the thriving of its coral and marine life. With only a few tourists, the area offers an unparalleled sense of serenity.

The perfect time to visit Tioman is June and July. The warm water of the island gets the marine life active for divers. Tioman Island Golf Course is also a must visit here. Free diving is popular with the naturalists there, and is more challenging than scuba diving.

Carabao Island is a bit of unknown gem right around the corner from Boracay in the Romblon Province. Many people take the awesome day trip from Boracay at some stage but it’s actually a perfect spot for a multi-day adventure stay, away from the crowds of Boracay. If you like cliff jumping, you need to get yourself to Carabao. There are two awesome spots to send some backflips but it’s not just cliff jumping there are loads of other things to do on Carabao and I’ll show you what they are in this article. Enjoy your travels! Less than 10,000 people live on Carabao and its capital is San Jose. There are hardly any cars on the island, with motorbike and boat the popular form of transport.
