Underbar offers a seasonal chef’s tasting menu, inspired by the season and surrounds. Derek’s menu will showcase local produce and evolve with the season.

Chef Derek Boath has a passion for fine dining and brings his extensive culinary experience to underbar ballarat. Derek's culinary career spans more than twenty years, with experience gained at some of the world's top restaurants, including three Michelin star New York restaurant "per se".

First of all the food and presentation is just Devine and the service was absolutely beautiful! Can’t thank Derek and underbar enough! What a rare gem.

My mum is terminally ill and this fabulous establishment organised a lovely lunch for her to have at her own Leisure at a hospice, it was made with such love and effort. Certainly a made for a treasured memory.
