Foong Wai Kong founded his handmade biscuits factory circa 1964, under the name of Xin Zhong Guo(新中国).
Renamed as Cheong Fatt Food Manufactory in 1970 and fostered with the aim of providing good quality biscuits and snacks at affordable prices, the company has grown from strength to strength over the years.
Cheong Fatt obtained the HALAL certification from MUIS and HACCP certification in 2004, for ensuring safety and hygiene in supplies and practices.
