International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on March 8 – but why is this day important? What does the day signify?

March 8 has been the fixed date for International Women's Day since 1914, when the day was moved to be in line with Russian women who celebrated the day on February 23 on the Gregorian calendar. With the atrocities of what is going on in the world right now, today signifies most definitely one of the most significant acknowledgements know to the modern world. The celebrations today are diverse as they are significant.
