The prestigious Fincantieri Shipyard in Genoa has officially delivered Oceania Allura, Oceania Cruises' eighth luxury ship and the second in the Allura Class. This 1,200-person boutique ship represents a significant advancement in the brand's culinary-driven, destination-focused cruise concept. Oceania Allura carries on the line's legacy of fusing exquisite design, unparalleled service, and immersive travel experiences, which was established by sister ship Oceania Vista.
Oceania Cruises' cuisine is still at its core, while Allura enhances the onboard culinary experience with creative ideas and updated classics. Now, guests may savour the Crêperie's premiere, which includes decadent Italian sundaes, Belgian waffles, and French crêpes. Inspired by the renowned Jacques Pépin, the well-liked French fine-dining establishment Jacques is back with updated menus and interactive specialities like tableside-prepared hand-cut beef tartare.
Red Ginger adds even more flair by introducing Nikkei cuisine, a fascinating blend of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, which includes notable dishes like short rib lomo saltado and tuna ceviche with leche de tigre.
Under the direction of Chefs Eric Barale and Alexis Quaretti, Oceania's award-winning culinary team has created over 270 new delicacies for The Grand Dining Room. These include creative additions to breakfast, such as variations on eggs Benedict. A brand-new Gerard Bertrand Wine Pairing Luncheon, which offers carefully chosen food and wine experiences, is available for wine enthusiasts to check out in the meantime.

In addition to its excellent food, Oceania Allura has the largest standard staterooms at sea and an outstanding staff-to-guest ratio. With one chef for every eight customers, half of the staff is devoted exclusively to culinary service. Additional features of the ship include the LYNC Digital Centre powered by Starlink®, where visitors can take part in interactive classes taught by Digital Concierges, and a renovated Library on Deck 14 with floor-to-ceiling vistas.
26 trips covering 92 locations in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Canada, and New England make up the ship's first season. In mid-July 2025, the inaugural voyage will set sail from Trieste for Athens, and in November, Food & Wine magazine's Best New Chefs alumni will conduct a christening ceremony in Miami.
With four Sonata Class ships (pictured above) in the works—Oceania Sonata in 2027, Arietta in 2029, and two more ships scheduled for 2032 and 2035—Oceania Allura sets the tone for a new era in luxury cruising.
