Throughout March 2020, embark on a meaningful initiative by minimizing waste and mitigating climate changes through reduction of single use plastic bags and putting reusable bags to greater use with Tanglin Mall

Drop your reusable bags into the Bring-Your-Own (BYO) Singapore’s recycle bin located near Tanglin Mall Customer Service Counter on Level 2. The bags will be redistributed to discourage the use of plastics. The first 200 shoppers will get 1,000 Great V-aap points (equivalent to $5 shopping voucher) for the support.

This activation is in collaboration with Bring-Your-Own (BYO) Singapore, a movement by Zero Waste SG and supported by National Environment Agency (NEA). BYO is spearheaded by a team of self-driven conservationists who have successfully garnered support from established brands such as Cold Storage, NTUC, OCBCCares, Kiehls and more.

Do your part to reduce climate changes by bringing your reusable bag or utensils when you shop and dine at Tanglin Mall. Participating shops such as AnjaliChocolat, Cedele, Home 360, Kidz Story, The Body Shop, The Cocoa Trees, Silkwalk and W Optics will be charging $0.20 for each plastic bag or straw given out during this period.  Although this writter believes they should abolish Plastic bags and straws - period.

All proceeds will go to Nature Society Singapore to fund their various conservation projects that includes Restore Ubin Mangroves (R.U.M.), Coastal Clean Up @ Pulau Ubin and Kranji Mudflats, Horseshoe Crab Rescue and Research Programme and many more.
