Relations between France and Singapore have long been characterized by trust and proximity on all major political, economic, defense and security issues.
These close links have led us to elevate our relationship to the rank of strategic partnership in October 2012, when the French Prime Minister visited Singapore.
More than four years after the conclusion of this partnership, our cooperation has significantly strengthened and expanded in political, economic, defense and security, cultural, academic and scientific fields.
Our exchanges have also concerned major international issues, such as climate change and international financial regulation.
