Janice Wong Group is a Singapore-based hospitality group that sits at the intersection of dessert and design, chocolate and craftsmanship. Headquartered in Singapore with presence in London and Japan, and helmed by multi-award-winning chef Janice Wong, the group owns and operates brands and concepts that sit on the forefront of its key domains, while inspiring new ways to indulge in desserts and push the envelope of its craft.

Chef Janice Wong burst into the scene in 2007 with her first dessert-focused restaurant, 2am:dessertbar, in Singapore. In 2014, her eponymous multi-product and multi-channel confectionery brand, Janice Wong Singapore, was formally established to market a wide range of confectionery products, including custom chocolate bonbons, cakes and ice cream. 2021 was a pivotal year in the group's trajectory with the expansion of Pure Imagination and Softhaus in Great World.

The former is a small-batch, bean-to-bar chocolate focused concept and R&D facility that invites the public to trace the origins of sustainable cocoa from bean to farmer to every step of its way in becoming the beloved bar. The latter taps onto technology and animation to evoke a nostalgic soft-serve experience of yesteryear.

The Group has kept up with consumer preferences and has increasingly focused on leveraging digital channels to engage with its customers in recent years. These digital channels contribute significantly to the retail business today and are expected to be increasingly so moving forward.

Janice Wong Group truly embraces food technology and innovation. Chef Janice Wong’s efforts in experimenting with ingredients, cooking techniques and machines led to creations of edible art, 3D printed chocolates and others, which in turn kickstarted a flurry of activities that saw the business expanding to the international stage.

Looking ahead, besides bringing new confectionery-focused concepts to the market, Janice Wong Group will continue pushing the boundaries and integrate new food technologies and innovations in the product offerings.
