The Fat Kid Bakery is redefining the concept of breakfast - think soft fluffy sourdough bombos with deeply savoury fillings, coated in a homemade umami blend for a full flavoured punch. They definitely aren’t sugarcoating it.

Sourcream _ Onion Savoury Bombo

For all lovers of this iconic potato chip flavour, the Sour Cream and Onion ($6.50) is not one to be missed. Featuring a tangy and decadent whipped sour cream mix topped with fresh spring onions, this bombo is a perfect snack for ages young and old.

Roasted Garlic Mascarpone Savoury Bombo

The Roasted Garlic Mascarpone ($6.50) spotlights the sweet and mellow flavour of slow roasted garlic, which is blended into a savoury Mascarpone cream and topped with freshly grated Parmesan and cracked black pepper - a delightful intersection of nutty and creamy.

Spicy Egg Mayo (Savoury Bombo)

Putting a quirky twist on a childhood favourite, the Spicy Egg Mayo ($6.50) brings a new dimension to nostalgia with a kick of heat. Featuring a rich and creamy egg salad blended with aromatic spices, every bite is an addictive delight.

Tuna Nori Crunch Savoury Bombo

Inspired by the freshness of Japanese flavours, the Tuna Nori Crunch ($6.50) brings together the savoury elements of tuna and nori with cubes of crisp cucumbers accentuating every bite, making for a hearty yet refreshing treat on a hot summer day.

Founded by self-taught baker Ariel Tang, The Fat Kid Bakery was born out of a love for satisfying the tummies and spirits of people around her. Ariel’s baking journey first began in 2010 when she shared her now signature chocolate brownies with friends and family. Her ambition to become an accomplished baker spurred her to expand her knowledge and skills in pastry and bread making.

Then a Public Relations Consultant, Ariel took a leap of faith in 2020 to turn her passion into bread and butter and focus on her home-based baking business full-time. Developing a variety of inventive bakes, her sourdough bombos received much fanfare, especially during the lockdown period later in the year.

Today, The Fat Kid Bakery opens its tiny doors near Ang Mo Kio with a goal to invoke a sense of fun and familiarity through their small-batch artisanal bakes, which are prepared with plenty of love and passion.
