The Malayan Council

Published - 17 February 2021, Wednesday

This is a charming little Halal cafe that sits within the oldest street in Singapore. Perfect spot to kick your shoes off. TMC, when west meets Malaya.

The Malayan Council was founded in August 2015 serving western food with a traditional Malay twist for every generation.

Try the Smoked Duck Lemak chilli padi. This is a linguine pasta tossed with mushroom and cherry tomatoes in a lemak chilli padi sauce with a generous portion of smoked duck. Yummmm!

Plating up delectable Malaya fusion food, The Malayan Council is another great place in Singapore for enjoying brunch. Their Mudcrab Caesar Salad, Malayan Wings, and Cheesy Kupang go perfectly with wine and champagne. Amongst the pasta pick from Sambal Goreng Pengantin and Smoked Duck Lemak Chili Padi. You can also go straight for their Ayam Pangang Kerabu, grilled chicken with homemade sauce and aromatic kerabu rice and ulam salad. Go for any of their heavenly desserts but, we’re partial towards the super-moist Durian Pengat Cake.
