Mark your dates for a wondrous festive get-together with your family or business associates from five diners and up, where a bigger party can truly savour and indulge in a sumptuous selection of Szechwan delicacies from a delightful range of eight-course set menus, including Opulence Menu!(S$128.80 per pax), Fortune Menu (S$148.80 per pax), Triumphant Menu (S$168.80 per pax), Splendour Menu (S$258.80 per pax), and Majestic Menu ($298.80 per pax).
Special springtime creations from the festive set menus are also available on the Lunar New Year a la carte menu, where diners can customise a meal that best suits their tastes. The Braised Inaniwa Udon with Lobster and Roasted Garlic in Superior Golden Broth features premium Inaniwa Udon that is chewy in texture with deep historical roots in Japan while the Braised Pork Ribs and Lotus Seed in Red Glutinous Rice Wine, served with Golden Mantou (S$58) is braised low and slow for hours to achieve a tender texture that falls right off the bone. It is glazed in a Glutinous Rice Wine Sauce that is rich in umami flavour, and pairs perfectly with crispy fried Golden Mantous.
Specially handcrafted to mark the year of the tiger are Poached Tiger Stripes Minced Pork Dumpling (S$38) where natural orange colouring extracted from carrots are folded into the recipe to resemble the stripes of this year’s zodiac animal.
Diners can choose from an a la carte selection of all-time favourites including its decadent signature broth of Foie Gras Chawanmushi with Crab Roe Soup (S$38) and the restaurant’s namesake Chen’s Mapo Doufu (S$30) featuring silky tofu stir- fried in a spicy, fragrant Szechewan pepper- inflected meat sauce.
