InterContinental Singapore has launched a new lifestyle experience called the Palms Champagne and Pool Bar and we just had to try it.

Located on the level four rooftop of the hotel, guests are invited to escape to an oasis in the heart of the city, and bask the day away while lounging on sunbeds with Champagne in hand, and enjoying views of the historic Bugis cityscape.

Available from 12noon to 8:00pm, every Thursday to Sunday, guests may enjoy the experience by booking the Palms Voyage Package which includes access to the swimming pool and sun loungers in the designated Palms Lounge area along with the Voyage Menu.

The Voyage Menu highlights tasty morsels such as Kaviari Royal Caviar, Italian Parma Ham with Rock melon, Foie Gras Terrine, and Irish Oyster Shooters; accompanied by an icy cold bottle of Taittinger Brut Reserve NV.

The Palms Voyage Menu Package can be booked at $238++ for two guests. A reasonable price for such a decadent affair!

Drilling down on the Voyage Menu enjoy Kaviari Royal Caviar (30mg) with Blinis, Onions, Chives and Sour Cream, Italian Parma Ham & Rock Melon with Feta Cheese and Balsamic Reduction.

Then move on to the Foie Gras Terrine garnished with Sea Salt, Crushed Peppers and Cranberry Toast. The Hamachi & Salmon Sushi is nothing short of delicious and the Tuna Tataki, Egg Mayonnaise with Tongarashi Seaweed is to die for. Top of your Voyage with a Irish Oyster Shooter with Yuzu and Oolong Tea.

After a long week at work, I was looking forward to a relaxing brunch and pool time with friends.  As I arrived, I was escorted up to the fourth floor by the concierge. As apart of the deal we got a bottle of Taittinger Champagne and fine dining tasty morsels that included foie gras and oyster shots among other deliciousness. We expected a bit of rain in true Singapore style but before we knew it the sky was blue and a cool breeze invited us into the azure pool.  It’s a challenge to find a spot in Singapore that process such a deal International Hotel poolside and to top it off, the music was sublime which kept us going until sunset. If you are looking for a chill afternoon with friends,  InterContinental Singapore offers great food, relaxing, fun vibes and of course - champagne. The a la carte menu is also available if you want to order outside of the offer. We managed to polish off another couple of bottles of white wine during the afternoon as we enjoyed the pool. There is an additional charge for any extras above and beyond the Palms Champagne and poolside Bar package but the price was very reasonable for the additional spend. All in all we had a fantastic time on Saturday from midday right through to about 6pm - but as they say - a good time comes with the people you party with!
