Café Natsu

Exciting news! Café Natsu has recently opened its doors on the ground floor of the charming Crane Joo Chiat building, a heritage gem dating back to the 1920s with Peranakan influences. Expectations are high, as the café is brought to you by the talented team behind Tigerlily Patisserie, The Dragon Chamber, and Sommer. With one glass panel offering a view of vibrant Joo Chiat Road and lucky guests securing a table by the open-aired windowsill, they'll be treated to a delightful sight of pastel-colored Koon Seng shophouses. Now, let's dive into the menu at Café Natsu. Whether you prefer the traditional version with glazed gammon or the Florentine variant with spanner crab, you must try one of their eggs Benedict selections. Wasabi spinach and miso hollandaise are two elements that give these breakfast favourites a distinctive Japanese flair.

And all of you who enjoy sandwiches are in for a treat! Egg mayo and chicken katsu are just two of the enticing sandos available at Café Natsu. The wagyu sando, which has delicious beef short rib sandwiched in soft, crustless bread, is unquestionably the star of the show. Why not treat yourself to fried mochi doughnuts, a delicacy that is uncommon in Singapore, to cap your dinner on a sweet note? These delicious bites create a harmonious fusion of tastes and textures when combined with salted Hokkaido milk ice cream. The wine list has a few pages worth of options, despite the fact that it isn't particularly long. There is something to go with your wagyu experience, whether you choose a bottle of junmai ginjo or a traditional red wine. So go to Café Natsu and enjoy their mouthwatering menu while soaking up the atmosphere of Crane Joo Chiat. It's a cultural encounter with Japanese influences and gastronomic quality that genuinely delights the senses. Image Credit - Café Natsu Facebook Page 2nd Image.
