I moved to Singapore in 2014 and live within walking distance to Baker & Cook on Hillcrest Rd. Dean is a very kind and generous person who cares for his clientele, and every employee that has worked there in my 3 years of patronage has been extremely nice. Everyone knows me, everyone seems happy to see me. It's a great place. In fact, I used to buy a dark cherry danish from them nearly 6 days a week (no exaggeration).
Some time ago, however, they changed their dark cherry danish recipe, but they continued to make it the way I liked it just for me. They go out of their way to make one danish a day according to the old recipe...just for me. This is the single best customer service I have ever experienced or will ever experience. I don't drop by as often as I used to, but my danish is still there waiting for me. I love Baker & Cook and they will remain in my memory long after I move away from Singapore.
