Bloodwood is an award winning small list offers something for everyone, Â from traditional grape varieties to obscure new age wines and winemaking techniques. The beer list is long & creative, supporting amazing local talents and international superstars. House-made cocktails are bold, vibrant & creative. Try one of the Bloodwood's signature drinks.
Local designer Matt Woods has created a dark and eclectic space using a scattering of recycled objects, moody lighting and industrial brick finishes. The kitchen and bar take centre stage in the narrow terrace, providing a vibrant beating heart to the venue.

The space is broken up into several areas; a front bar area, where you can sit and watch the fun on King Street, the main dining room with its red tables and low hanging lights leads you through to a rear deck that’s drenched in sun during the afternoon.
There is also a private dining room that can accommodate groups of up to 16 people. All areas are available for private events and parties. The trio of owner/chefs Mitchell Grady, Claire Van Vuuren and Jo Ward are all ex-Claude’s and busily hefting pans in the open kitchen as you wander past to the split-level dining area and balcony.
Menus are seasonal and broken into shared dishes of various sizes. Maybe crunchy sweet-potato croquettes, chickpea ‘socca’ pancakes with blistered cherry tomatoes, or a walnut tart with baby beets and samphire.
Whatever you do, don’t miss the polenta chips with gorgonzola. Bloodwood is loud and fun and hopes to see you soon.  Video Credit: Sam Simon Image Credit: Bloodwood's Facebook Page -Polenta chips with gorgonzola
