Best Chilli Crab In Singapore

Published - 09 January 2018, Tuesday

It's hard to look past chilli crab when you're looking for the most typical and enjoyable dish enjoyed by both Singaporeans, expatriates and visitors to the little red dot.

Basically speaking, chilli crab is a tasty seafood dish which consists of stir-fried crab coated with savoury, sweet, and spicy tomato based sauce. This dish is often accompanied by deep fried or steam buns (also known as mantou buns).

Chilli Crab is listed at number 35 on the World’s 50 most delicious foods, complied by CNN Travel in 2017. This spicy, sloppy, meaty specialty can be prepared dozens of ways such as with black pepper, salted egg yolk, cheese-baked, and so on and so forth but chili crab remains the local bestseller. Spicy chili-tomato gravy tends to splatter, so be conscious of your clothing....in short cover up! But more importantly thi is the reason why you need to mop everything up with mini mantou buns.

She specially created the now popular abd acclaimed White Pepper Crab dish to differentiate her hawker stall from the competition. The first hawker stall did not have a signboard, so this unique offering became known as the No Signboard Seafood hawker stall. No Signboard Seafood serves a wide variety of premium seafood cuisine prepared in Chinese and Singapore styles, including their signature dish, the White Pepper Crab.
