Common Man Coffee Roasters (CMCR), the specialty coffee roaster and cafe concept, has proudly launched its third Singapore outlet in Joo Chiat (JC). A dedicated filter coffee brewing bar offers a filter coffee selection from the brand’s seasonal rotation of regional single origins. Menu highlights include a delicious duo of Sourdough Pancakes exclusively available at CMCR JC. The café’s Sweet pancake option is crowned with chocolate almond ganache, almond praline, vanilla bean ice cream and citrus marmalade. Other Common Man favourites include the Turkish Common Man Breakfast, a delicious combination of phyllo wrapped soft boiled egg, crumbed sheep’s feta, pumpkin hummus, pumpkin seed praline, pomegranate and fresh herb salsa.

Simplicite

No this is not a newbie. Formerly known as Fresh Fruits Lab, Simplicite is a dainty looking spot reminiscent of Parisian culture. It’s not only the name which has been reworked. Their menu which previously featured fresh fruits (obviously) now boasts of mouth watering delicacies like truffle fries, salmon meuniere, ribeye steaks and duck confit. Apart from these, if you’re looking for options tilting a little more towards breakfast, they also have a wide variety of baked goodies like croissants and pain au chocolat.
