Banking on its signature West Coast flavours, and having originated roots in Los Angeles, 25 Degrees is hallmarked as a favourite go-to for A-list celebrities to satisfy cravings for comfort food with an all-American spread! This burger, wine & liquor bar is best known for its juicy, gourmet burgers and hot dogs, lip-smacking desserts, creamy milkshakes and a scrumptious all-day breakfast menu.

Previously vegetarians may have felt a trifle out of place in this meaty joint, but with two permanent vegetarian inclusions having been introduced to their menu, it’s now come full circle as a welcome spot for all! The first is the flavoursome Veggie Burger ($14), that’s loaded with assorted veggies, tofu, sautéed mushrooms, oatmeal, spices and other flavoursome delights. The second is the Beyond Burger ($18), a brilliant creative construction which makes it largely unbelievable that it’s actually vegetarian friendly, but it’s a screaming must-try all the same.

After making its way to the Lion City from sunny LA, 25 Degrees SG has become a favourite thanks to their great prices, juicy patties, and fully-customizable burgers. Along with their four signature burger options, 25 Degrees is also serving up some great burger combos; It Takes Two comes with two burgers and a side at $32, and the option of adding a bottle of wine for an additional $25 for a bit of a pick me up, or a fun date night indoors.

Chicken and Waffles, one of the staples of Southern American cuisine has gotten a new twist at Twenty Five Degrees Singapore. Being American and a lover of all things fried, I stopped by Twenty Five Degrees Burger and Liquor to sample their Chicken and Macaroni and Cheese Waffles (18++). Yup, Macaroni and Cheese baked inside the waffle, that’s the twist! I will say they did not disappoint. Tender and juicy chicken nestled inside crispy fried deliciousness resting on a bed of tender waffles with a hint of cheesy goodness, topped off with a perfectly cooked sunny side egg. The contrast from spicy kick of the jalapeno and the sweetness of the maple syrup make for a delightful flavor explosion in your mouth.

I thought I should have my greens for the day, so I also ordered the Charred Broccoli another new addition to the menu. It was quite nice paired with their spicy and tangy garlic aioli sauce. I also indulged in their classic Chocolate Malted Milk Shake (12 ++) to appease my voracious sweet tooth. They also have a delicious variety of Burgers and all the savory sides such as Tater Tot Nachos (8++), 25 degree wings (8++) and Cajun Steak Cut Fries ( 8++) to go with them. My personal favourite is the Number One Beef Burger comprised of caramelised onions, crescenza, prelibato gorgonzola, Canadian bacon, arugula and a slathering of thousand island sauce, quite reasonably priced at 14++. Top it off with one of their craft beers or ciders and you have comfort food perfection!

So to beat the after holiday blues head on down to Twenty Five degrees to sample their Chicken and Macaroni and Cheese Waffles before they disappear. This special runs until February 28th. Don’t miss it !
