The Brightside

Published - 19 July 2018, Thursday

Named after the Monty Python song "Always Look on The Bright Side of Life". It's a little bit silly, but let's face it, life can be jolly rotten some times, so we say bugger it, let your hair down and come laugh.

The cocktail list is totally focused on great flavours and value at just $15 nett each.

The Brightside is pretty famous for beers which start from as little as $6 when you buy a bucket of Carlsberg or $15.75 nett for two full pints of Asahi Super Dry or Connors Stout.

I met up with a work colleague last Friday and intended to stay for one Gin and Tonic and managed to stay longer than expected and enjoyed 4 G+T's and as the other person commenting here said...try the Chicken Tenders. They are delicious. The Bar was all a buzz. A birthday celebration outside with about 20 in the group and the bar inside every seat was taken. The crowd is mostly expatriate and quite diverse from mid-twenties to 50 plus.... like some of us hahaha

Good beers, I mean seriously, two pints for SG$15.... brilliant, good quiet ambiance, nice people.good atmosphere, lovely owner and most importantly good prices. It's my go-to after work. Highly recommended!! If you're in Duxton Hill it's the place to go. Jamie and the bar staff are excellent hosts at this magical bar. Great place for a legendary night out with mates or dates. Ask for the fish and chips or the Chicken tenders are great!!!!
