Published - 12 March 2021, Friday

A contemporary Bangkok luxury design hotel, COMO Metropolitan Bangkok combines passionate service with a vibrant award-winning Thai restaurant 'nahm', the exciting Met Bar and proximity to the city’s renowned shopping and nightlife.

COMO Metropolitan Bangkok sits in the heart of Bangkok, in the part of the Central Business District known as Sathorn. The hotel is only minutes from the city’s major shopping areas such as Siam Centre, MBK (Mah Boon Krong) and Central Silom Complex, major sightseeing and historical attractions such as Mr. Kukrit's Heritage House and night markets. It is also 40 minutes from the International Airport.

The hotel is steps away from the neighbourhood’s nightlife, shopping and restaurants. There is also a shuttle bus service to the Silom BTS Station operating daily from 7.30 am to 9.30 pm.

COMO Metropolitan BangkokSituated just 14 degrees north of the Equator, there is no doubt that the city can get steamy during the hottest part of the year, which runs from March to May. The rainy season is from June to November, but it is rare that it will rain all day.

Travelling to Bangkok is slightly cheaper at this time, especially during the wettest months of July and September. The temperature is around 30°C (85°F) during the rainy season, although humidity can be high. The best time of year to visit Bangkok is the cool season between November and February when temperatures range from the high 20’s to low 30’s.

COMO Metropolitan Bangkok is timeless and modern and has 169 generously sized rooms and suites. All of them are clean, crisp open spaces filled with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. With juxtapositions of materials and influences from the East and the West, spaces are serene and sophisticated.

Details include carefully sourced Asian antiques, furniture by contemporary designers and artists, mosaic and limestone bathrooms, Thai silk curtains and, in select suites, private terraces.

COMO Metropolitan BangkokBangkok hotel dining achieves new heights at COMO Metropolitan Bangkok, nahm restaurant, as it delivers a sophisticated spicing of innovative Thai delicacies. COMO Shambhala Cuisine is on the menu at glow, the place to enjoy healthy, Asian-inspired dishes that utilise organic, locally-sourced, nutritionally-rich ingredients.

For cocktails and late night snacks, there's the chic Met Bar beloved by the city's design, music and fashion crowd. A range of all-day dining options, Thai, Italian and child-friendly comfort dishes, make up their varied In-Room Dining menus. Image Credit: COMO Metropolitan Bangkok Facebook Page, Video Credit: COMO Hotels and Resorts

Very modern, clean and comfortable hotel in central Bangkok. Breakfast is small and very fresh. Main restaurant Nahn is an experience that we will never forget. Many Thanks to Mr P and to Miss Fern from concierge that made our stay in Bangkok more memorable. We shall visit again in the near future. Mark Navarro recommends COMO Metropolitan Bangkok
