The food is really good! Way better than what I had in Thailand! We had the ob woon sen and pad Thai and both were delicious! The sen was especially good because I really love vermicelli but hardly anyone could get it right. However, ob woon did. Not only was it super Q, the flavour burst was really delightful without being overly peppery (like what you get in Thailand). Really enjoyed that meal a lot! Thanks chef!
Also the service staff were really really nice! Even though it was really busy they were still sincerely nice! Really professional! Kudos to the service staff for making the meal superb!

Admittedly, Chef Hao never liked Thai food in particular growing up in Singapore. However, a trip to Bangkok as a teenager opened his eyes (or taste buds) and so began his lifelong love affair with Thai cuisine.
Never one to conform, no one was surprised when he decided to leave NUS to pursue a diploma in culinary arts, after which he spent a year in Thailand soaking up the rich food and culture. Upon his return to Singapore, he wanted not only to recreate the great food but also the feeling of kinship and warmth when sharing a meal with loved ones. Today, Ob Woon is the culmination of all his hopes and aspirations.
