The Envoy Hong Kong

Published - 17 July 2021, Saturday

The Envoy Hong Kong is a British colonial-themed restaurant and bar situated within a beautiful boutique hotel on Hong Kong’s very own historic Pottinger Street also known as Stone Slab Street. Using tea and spices as a key element in their menus, they bring back a bygone era to life, where the food and drinks are a modern take on the British's influences on South Asia culinary experiences. The bar encompasses both an indoor and outdoor area, where a retreat from the city can be found to savour.

From the delicious Small Plates, Afternoon Tea and Weekend Brunch, to our signature Tiffin Box, we specialise in creating tantalising dishes that exude an amalgamation of colonial tastes and traditional British flavours. They are Asia's 50 Best Bars (2016) featuring multi-awarded international mixologist Antonio Lai and bar manager Hungie Fong. The charming cocktails are curated based on the different seasons of the year, where Dewdrops Of The Heart, Dinosaur, and Early Bird are just a few all-time favourites to name. The Envoy, a cocktail bar and restaurant situated on the 3rd floor of The Pottinger Hotel at the intersection of Stanley Street is a modern take on the colonial influences of Hong Kong. The feel of the place seems to be spot on of turn of the century European design influences mark the walls and furniture, juxtaposed with earthier, rustic motifs. Using tea as a key element in both the cocktails, Sunday Brunch, Afternoon High Tea, as well as the new-in Colonial Small Plates menu. The staff is professional, that's what makes this bar so nice. Fabulous service is something that guests note in their comments.

Loving the new menu at The Envoy, the virgin cocktail is included in the drink menu and under each category making my non booze drinking friends much more included. The bar has great ambience with different seating arrangements making it a place for solo drinkers, dates, groups and corporate crowd.
