What do you think about Singapore first stop for International comedy star Tom Green?

Tom Green, acclaimed comedian, actor, filmmaker and talk show host will be launching his inaugural Asia Comedy Tour in Singapore.

As part of the Magners International Comedy Festival in Singapore Tom Green will perform on Friday 12 April 2019, 8pm at The Whiskey Library @ Vagabond Club.

His Singapore debut will be followed by Manila, Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai, Bangkok with his last stop in Hong Kong. Organised by Singapore-based festival creators Magic Rock Pte Ltd, the Tom Green Asia Comedy Tour marks Green’s enthusiastic return to his stand-up comedy roots.

Receiving 5-star reviews worldwide, his current tour material is the strongest of his career with more personal elements and underlying tenderness to the prank, man-on-the-street, visually surreal comedy he is famous for.

Green found mainstream prominence via his influential and outrageous MTV television series ‘The Tom Green Show’. Before reality TV, YouTube or social media existed, Green’s comedy changed television conventions forever by blurring the lines between pranks and performance art.

His success landed him roles in mainstream Hollywood movies, such as ‘Freddy Got Fingered’, ‘Road Trip’, ‘Charlie’s Angels’, and ‘Stealing Harvard’. He has graced the cover of Rolling Stone, hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’, guest-hosted ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ and appeared on Oprah, Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, ‘The Daily Show’ and Comedy Central.

The Tom Green Asia Comedy Tour is a 18+ event.

"Daddy would you like some sausage?" Freddy got fingered was one of the funniest and most original things I saw when I was a kid. It was crazy. I remember leaving the cinema in a daze... I can't believe he put a mouse in his mouth. Gross! Looking forward to seeing his stand up live in Singapore.

He was the original online prankster who married Drew Barrymore and got fired by Trump. As he returns to standup, he talks about not getting his dues – and where you draw the line in comedy Tom Green has been rapped about by Eminem, fired by Donald Trump and married briefly to Drew Barrymore. He made an influential and outrageous MTV series (The Tom Green Show), as well as one of the most reviled films of all time (Freddy Got Fingered). He also documented his experience of testicular cancer in a TV special that didn’t blanch at the sight of the surgeon’s scalpel. And it is not merely a figure of speech to say that he has guts – millions of viewers have seen them, unpacked on the operating table during surgery to inspect his lymph nodes. Sitting in a London bar, the 45-year-old, 6ft 2in Canadian comic is more contemplative than the manic, bug-eyed goofball who made his name in the 1990s. Back then, he blurred the line between pranks and performance art, prowling the streets with baguettes strapped to his head, addressing passing businessmen as “Mummy” or gyrating against roadkill. It was the roadkill stunt that earned him a namecheck from Eminem, who complained in The Real Slim Shady: “Sometimes I want to get on TV and just let loose, but can’t / But it’s cool for Tom Green to hump a dead moose.” Read More Here https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2017/jun/13/tom-green-comedy-nottingham-glee-club-uk-tour
