The hottest tables this month

These three dining experiences top the list for Lux Dining. Expect to be thrilled, delighted, indulged and entertained at this months' CHOICE TOP TABLES

Table 65

Thomas Groot and Richard van Oostenbrugge

Thomas Groot and Richard van Oostenbrugge

Taking the place of Joel Robuchon's former spot, Table 65 is the latest celebrity endeavour at Resorts World Sentosa. Taking its name from Singapore's dialing code, it's a fine dining meets casual concept from international wonder chefs, Richard van Oostenbrugge and Thomas Groot. But what has our attention isn't the names behind it or even the location, it's the concept.  Priding itself as a ‘no pretense’, fine-casual dining restaurant, the chefs invite you to sit and interact with them at the communal chef’s table. With a focus on bringing out the true essence and flavours of the food ingredients, Oostenbrugge and Groot present their creative take on modern European cuisine, including their widely instagrammed Apple dessert. Furthermore, the restaurant introduces visual projections on your dining plates and levitating creations, making this a dining experience that invokes all your senses.

Gake by Toitsu

Gake

Recently named as Chef of the Year at the World Gourmet Summit, chef-owner Angus Chow has opened his doors to his latest project, Gake. Meaning 'cliff' in Japanese, expect contemporary Japanese fare with a Western touch. Gake’s chic urban space will surely make your dining experience extra satisfying. The big 60-seater space looks cosy and elegant with the mix of grey and black hues and natural wood details. Diners love the overall rustic and cosy atmosphere of the restaurant, together with its sophisticated and daring dishes aesthetically plated in Gake’s high-energy, urban-chic environment. Chef Chow’s extensive knowledge, perfected techniques and 15-plus years creating modern Japanese and European cuisine have been invaluable in successfully launching the restaurant.
