Welcome to Expat Choice TV, I'm your host John Gordon, and today in our continuing series we highlight the work of Dr. Reshie Joseph of The Living Free Institute where we delve a little deeper to understand Trauma in the time of Covid-19

Today, we continue the discussion around Trauma in the time of Covid-19 and the five major contributors to this. And the second major contributing factor to this Trauma is Prolonged Fear.

If we looked at fear as a concept and how we experience fear, our brains are not designed to process fear for long periods of time. Our neural circuitry is designed to respond to fear, quickly, resolve it - and then move on.

What we currently face during the Covid-19 pandemic is a situation where people are in longer, and longer periods of intense fear - and when this happens people will reach a breaking point and the end result will be trauma.
